Celiac disease is known to be a disease caused by sensitivity to the protein gluten, found in grains such as wheat, barley, and rye. According to the Ministry of Health Information System records, 166,614 people in our country have been diagnosed with celiac disease as of the end of November 2023. Considering that the right to food and the right to health are fundamental human rights, it is crucial to take the necessary measures to ensure that individuals with gluten intolerance can adopt a gluten-free diet. To ensure easy access to gluten-free foods for students with celiac disease, students with celiac disease must apply to our Faculty by October 14, 2025, to ensure that gluten-free products are available in canteens and cafeterias and that gluten-free menus are included in dining halls.
